Gulf air traffic more than doubled in two weeks, then held.

Window: 1 Jun to 30 Sep 2026

The Persian Gulf averaged 602 aircraft a day in 1 to 14 Jun and 1,429 in 22 to 30 Jun, after the 17 Jun ceasefire. September averaged 1,535.

The sky over the Gulf refilled within two weeks of the ceasefire, and September ran higher still.

What the coverage showed

Qatar Tribune (22 June 2026) reported Gulf airlines back to about 82% of pre-war flights, airline by airline, with no aircraft count per zone.

The figure

Persian Gulf: 602 aircraft a day (1 to 14 Jun), 1,429 (22 to 30 Jun), 1,535 (September). Hormuz corridor: 4.8 to 79.2 aircraft a day. Gulf of Oman: 435 to 927 aircraft a day.

Aircraft counts come from crowd-sourced receivers and are an index of traffic, not a census.
